  • Our Commitments
Through strong commitments and concrete actions, we aim for an essential balance at Ametra: well-being, living well, and doing well.

Our objectives are clear: an immediate impact on our environmental footprint, professional equality, and quality of life at work are at the heart of our concerns.

Engineering Charter for Gender Diversity

Mixite

Ametra has adhered to the Syntec Ingénierie charter for gender diversity since its launch in 2021.

This collective approach aims to evolve the role of women in engineering: signatory companies commit to working on three key issues: attracting women to engineering, retaining female talent, and enabling women to advance their careers.

Our commitments:

The engineering charter for gender diversity includes four main areas of commitment and, for each of them, a detailed list of possible actions.
Each signatory company commits annually to carrying out at least one action per commitment, representing a minimum of four actions per year:

  1. Mobilizing to change the image of engineering among young people, particularly young girls
  2. Ensuring equal treatment between women and men throughout their careers
  3. Promoting a balance between personal and professional life for all
  4. Encouraging access to management positions for women by developing upward mobility

Engineering Charter for Climate and Biodiversity

Climat

Ametra is one of the historical signatories of the engineering charter for climate and biodiversity initiated by Syntec Ingénierie (2019).

This roadmap, regularly updated, reflects the profession’s commitment to a more sustainable and responsible future.

“Our ambition: Engineering, as a key player involved from the project design phase, possesses the expertise and capacity to provide solutions to these complex challenges and has the essential skills to meet the challenges of the ecological and energy transition.”

Our concrete actions

Ametra has implemented concrete and simple actions to act daily in favor of the environment

Reducing the impact of travel:

  • 100% reimbursement of public transport for our employees
  • reduction in air travel if train travel time permits
  • deployment of videoconferencing tools and remote working common to all our sites
  • reduction of the environmental impact of company vehicles

Changing daily habits of life at work:

  • energy consumption: employee awareness (turning off lights, unplugging unused sockets, etc.)
  • paper consumption: digitalization of internal and external media
  • limiting the consumption of plastic cups: distribution of a mug to each employee
  • promoting selective sorting: implementation of recycling bins

Taking the environment into account in our work:

  • Eco-design: taking environmental criteria into account from the product design stage
  • Supply Chain: adding an environmental impact score to our supplier evaluation grid

United Nations Global Compact

Pacte mondial

Access our Global Compact public profile

Since March 2016, Ametra has adhered to the Global Compact program.
The Global Compact is an initiative launched by the United Nations on July 26, 2000, in New York. Its objective is to encourage entities worldwide (including companies) to adopt a socially responsible attitude based on 10 founding principles grouped into 4 themes: Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.
Commitment to the Global Compact is based on a voluntary signatory process. In this case, the member company commits to making progress on the various themes of the Global Compact and to publishing an annual report called the Communication on Progress (COP), which presents its efforts and the results achieved.
Today, more than 20,000 companies and 5,000 non-profit organizations participate in the Global Compact worldwide. It is therefore the largest sustainable development initiative in the world.

Our concrete actions:

  • A process of continuous improvement, from our ISO 9001 certification to our Quality Policy,
  • The integration of the environmental dimension into awareness campaigns conducted with employees
  • The sponsoring of projects by Ametra employees,
  • The safety, well-being of employees, and quality of working conditions

Professional Equality

Tous concernes

Ametra has published the results of the gender equality index for the year 2026, as provided for under the law on the Freedom to Choose One’s Professional Future (Law No. 2018-771 of September 5, 2018):

This index is calculated on 5 indicators – click here to download the explanatory notice published by the French Ministry of Labour.
Ametra promotes internal advancement and skills development, and is committed to social and generational diversity as well as equal opportunities.

Ametra Engineering obtained a near-maximum score for 4 out of 5 indicators:

EcoVadis

Ecovadis

EcoVadis, a world leader in CSR performance assessment, enables “companies to reduce risk, improve, and accelerate positive impact on our planet and society.” EcoVadis conducts an independent assessment based on 21 criteria grouped into four pillars: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement.

The methodology is based on three levels: policies (25%), actions (40%), and reporting & results (35%), supplemented by a 360° watch that integrates reliable external sources to detect incidents, controversies, or positive signals related to the company.

EcoVadis also offers a carbon scorecard, covering the management of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

The reassessment is annual: during its renewal at the end of 2025, the Ametra group is proud to have obtained the Bronze label with an improved score of 68 out of 100, allowing us to remain in the top 35% of evaluated companies.

Some examples of improvements made by Ametra

We have worked extensively on our environmental policy: rational energy consumption, evolution of our vehicle fleet with the phase-out of diesel, significant digitalization of our invoicing and exchange methods, integration of sustainable development clauses into our purchasing conditions, and deployment of an eco-design guide to support our employees.
